What is PhotonCRM?

Designer.png

PhotonCRM is a software solution for businesses wanting to maximize their service to their customers by providing a comprehensive suite of Customer Relationship Management, marketing and managerial tools to allow businesses to further improve their service to customers. Photon is currently being designed based upon Marketing, Managerial and Economic theory and considering the amount of research required to design such a scalable application is doing well at the moment.

Why Open Source?

Open Source and Free software is the way it should be. We see semi-open, maybe-open and closed "solutions" and find them to be an unacceptable and inexcusable example of rampant overexpenditure on CRM software within progressive markets. Why spend thousands on a solution you do not have control over, or why be fooled into freedom and pay for the priviledge?

Open source gives us the means to do something others can contribute to, and something businesses can very easily tailor to their needs with minimal overheads. We don't give two hoots what we could make from it, it's the right thing to do.

What about other CRM projects?

We do indeed know that there are other projects which provide CRM tools, but we feel that they have not addressed the problem correctly and have poor code. Photon isn't going to jump straight into coding everything straight away, as we're staying away from the "extreme coding" perspective of software development, but rather humbling ourselves by seeing what people actually want from CRM outside of our business areas and really seeing the bigger picture.
